This article investigates the impact of incorporating gamification elements into English language teaching on learners' motivation and engagement. Gamification, which involves the application of game-design elements such as points, badges, leaderboards, rewards, challenges, and progress tracking in educational settings, has emerged as an innovative strategy for enhancing language learning. The study examines how gamified instruction encourages active participation, improves learners' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and promotes the development of communicative competence. Furthermore, it discusses the role of digital educational technologies and interactive learning environments in creating enjoyable and meaningful language learning experiences. The findings indicate that gamification positively influences students' motivation, increases classroom participation, strengthens learner autonomy, and contributes to improved English language proficiency.
