This article broadly examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies on school students — their beneficial aspects in the learning process and their hidden risks. It analyzes how students use modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Duolingo in everyday education, and how this usage affects their cognitive abilities, independent thinking and moral development. Empirical conclusions are drawn from a survey conducted among 110 students and 22 teachers in general secondary schools in the Karshi district. The research results show that AI can be an effective assistant for students, but without parental, teacher and state supervision it poses a serious risk of harming educational quality and personal development.References
