Abstract

This article investigates the biological and chemical interrelations of phytotherapy in the management of liver pathologies and hormone-dependent benign tumors, specifically uterine fibroids (myoma). The primary focus of the study is directed toward the chemical structures, stereochemistry, isomerism, and molecular mechanisms of active organic compounds—such as flavonolignans, glycosides, and alkaloids—contained in medicinal plants including Silybum marianum, Rhodiola quadrifida, and Chelidonium majus.
