This article examines verbs of motion in the Russian and Uzbek languages from a comparative perspective. Their semantic and grammatical features, as well as the means of expressing motion and direction, are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the differences in conveying unidirectional and multidirectional motion, which are characteristic of the Russian language. The study reveals that Russian possesses a more developed system of verbs of motion, whereas in Uzbek many meanings are expressed through context and analytical constructions. The findings of the study may be useful for learning Russian and in translation practice.References
