This article examines the historical origins and stages of development of the science of Tajweed, which governs the rules of Qur'anic recitation. The paper explores early Tajweed texts, contributions of scholars to its advancement, and the modern importance of Tajweed. Additionally, it reviews the role of contemporary technology in teaching Tajweed and the ongoing efforts to preserve and promote the quality of Qur'anic recitation globally.
