Abstract
This thesis provides an in-depth analysis of the characters in Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel Crime and Punishment. It examines the protagonist Raskolnikov’s “Theory of Two Categories of People,” explores its philosophical essence, and evaluates it from the perspective of modern legal and moral norms. The work thoroughly addresses the problems of human psychology, moral choice, criminal responsibility, and spiritual purification.
