Abstract

Nowadays, economic development cannot be assessed solely through economic growth rates or increases in production volumes. The impact of economic growth on social welfare, income distribution, and equal access to economic opportunities has become increasingly important. Therefore, the concept of inclusive economic growth has emerged as one of the key directions of modern economic research. This paper examines the theoretical foundations of inclusive growth, international approaches to its statistical assessment, and the possibilities of applying these approaches in the Surkhandarya region. In addition, methodological approaches to constructing an integral index for measuring inclusive economic growth at the regional level are proposed.
