This article examines the pedagogical foundations of developing ecological knowledge, skills, and competencies in higher education students through teaching the course “Ecological Culture and Fundamentals of Sustainable Development”. The content of environmental education, the essence of sustainable development, and effective approaches to developing environmental competencies are analyzed. The findings indicate that the use of innovative educational technologies contributes to the development of ecological awareness, responsibility, and practical environmental activities among students.References
