This article explores the concept of the main character and artistic image in literary works from a scientific-theoretical perspective. The author analyzes the principles on which the creator relies in creating the main character, the methods used to express character, and the interrelation between prototype and artistic fiction. The role of primary images in the work, their significance in the development of events, and their potential to influence the reader's mind and heart are examined. The differences between the concepts of literary hero and character, the typification of images, and issues of emotional influence are also discussed. The research is based on theoretical foundations in Uzbek, Russian, and world literary criticism, substantiated through examples.References
