Abstract

This article analyzes the peculiarities of character representation in historical novels based on Muso Toshmuhammad o‘g‘li Oybek’s novel “Qutlug‘ qon.” The typological, psychological, and social aspects of such characters as Yo‘lchi, Gulnor, Mirzakarimboy, Yormat, Tantiboyvachcha, and Shoqosim are examined in the work. In addition, the role of psychologism, conflict, portrait description, internal monologue, stylistic individualization, and historical realism in character creation is revealed. The article scientifically substantiates the expression of class stratification, contradictions between the rich and the poor, the Jadid movement, feudal relations, and issues of human dignity through literary characters in the novel. During the research, Oybek’s mastery in word usage, the dynamics of characters, and the methods of artistic representation of historical reality were analyzed.
