This article highlights the essence, historical development and practical significance of the concept of "algorithm". The definition, properties (accuracy, completeness, efficiency, deterministic/non-frictional properties), classification and how the algorithm is applied through various disciplines and examples in everyday life are explained. Criteria for evaluating efficient algorithms — time and memory complexity-are also considered, and the role of algorithmic thinking in the context of modern programming and information technology is emphasized. The goal is to help students and researchers understand the concept of the algorithm clearly, compactly and practically.References
