This article examines the urgent psychological foundations of developing the speech competencies of primary school students, in particular, the formation of word choice skills in the communication process in the modern education system. Based on modern psychological and pedagogical approaches, the factors of enriching the vocabulary and linguistic thinking of today's schoolchild, as well as the importance of systematic organization of active speech situations in the lesson process are highlighted. In addition, based on the requirements of the new national curriculum, innovative methodological recommendations have been developed to improve students' independent thinking and correct word usage skills through the use of interactive situational games and psychological training methods in the lessons of mother tongue and reading literacy.References
