Abstract

This article analyzes the history of the study of the art of epic storytelling (dostonchilik), a unique genre of Uzbek folklore, and discusses current challenges in the field. It highlights the specific features of various schools of oral epic poetry, the role of bakhshi art in shaping the spirituality of the younger generation, and the issues of digitizing this cultural heritage.
