Abstract

The pedagogical system of John Amos Comenius represents a foundational pillar in the history of education. In his seminal work, "The Great Didactic," he provided the scientific framework for the class-lesson system, which continues to underpin modern schooling. Comenius championed the principle of "conformity to nature," arguing that the educational process must be aligned with a child's developmental and psychological stages. His vision of "pansophism" (teaching everything to everyone) established the ideals of universal, accessible, and humanistic education, marking him as the father of modern pedagogy.
