Abstrak

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an increasingly influential tool in language teaching, offering new opportunities for personalized learning, interactive practice, and efficient assessment. This article explores the main advantages and limitations of AI in language education. On the positive side, AI-powered systems provide adaptive learning paths, instant feedback, pronunciation support, and access to rich linguistic resources, which enhance learners' engagement and autonomy. AI also assists teachers by automating administrative tasks and enabling data-driven instruction. However, despite these benefits, AI has several limitations, including lack of deep human interaction, potential errors in contextual understanding, dependence on data quality, and ethical concerns such as privacy and academic integrity. The article concludes that AI should be viewed as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for teachers, emphasizing a balanced integration of technology in language teaching.
