This article explores the intersection of law, justice, and moral responsibility in contemporary American legal fiction, focusing specifically on the narrative techniques employed by John Grisham. By analyzing selected novels, the study investigates how Grisham constructs moral dilemmas that challenge the structural integrity of the American legal system. The findings reveal that Grisham utilizes the "everyman" lawyer archetype, fast-paced plot devices, and ethically ambiguous scenarios to bridge the gap between statutory law and intrinsic human morality, thereby prompting readers to question the true nature of justice in modern society.
