Abstract

This article analyzes the socio-economic and cultural condition of medieval Khwarazm cities through historical reconstruction. The study examines ancient irrigation systems, agriculture, handicrafts, trade relations, urbanization processes, and cultural development in the Khwarazm region. Furthermore, the article discusses urban planning, fortress architecture, textile production, and the development of monetary circulation during the Afrighid period based on historical sources and archaeological findings. Special attention is devoted to the strategic role of Khwarazm on the Great Silk Road and its significance in Eastern civilization. As a result, the study proves that medieval Khwarazm cities were highly developed urban and cultural centers of their time.
