THE LIFE AND ACADEMIC CONTRIBUTIONS OF NURIDDIN ITR

This article analyzes the life, educational stages, and extensive scientific and pedagogical activities of Dr. Nur al-Din 'Itr, one of the leading hadith scholars of the Islamic world in the 20th and early 21st centuries. It highlights his early education in Aleppo (Syria), his studies at Al-Azhar University, as well as his contribution to the development of hadith science in a number of international educational institutions such as Medina and Damascus. In addition, the article reveals the significance of the scholar's more than 50 scientific works, particularly his research (tahqiq) on ancient texts, the unprecedented role of his masterpiece "Manhaj al-naqd fi 'ulum al-hadith" in the development of modern hadith studies, and his academic school in training young specialists
