Аннотация

This article examines the necessity of conducting lessons in the mother tongue for young children in primary school. The author emphasizes the crucial role of the native language as the main tool in shaping a child’s thinking, emotions, worldview, and personality. Teaching in the mother tongue not only improves academic performance but also supports the child’s psychological and social development. The paper draws on international research and educational practices, discussing linguistic, cultural, and pedagogical dimensions of native-language instruction. The article concludes with practical recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of mother tongue-based education.
