Аннотация

This article discusses effective methods for developing students' spelling literacy through text-based work in primary school reading lessons. The study used theoretical analysis, observation, and experimental-testing methods to determine that organizing text-based spelling exercises is an important factor in improving students' written speech culture. The results of the study showed that students' skills in spelling correctly, using punctuation appropriately, and constructing text logically improved by 25–30 percent. The article also provides practical suggestions for improving the process of teaching spelling in reading lessons.
