Abstract

This article analyzes the significance of spelling and punctuation in developing students’ written speech in native language lessons. Written speech, as an expression of human thinking, is one of the main indicators of language culture. Teaching orthographic and punctuation rules not only enhances grammatical literacy but also develops logical thinking, language sensitivity, and creative expression. The paper discusses modern pedagogical approaches, including interactive teaching methods and the use of digital technologies in mastering orthography and punctuation.
