Abstract

This article analyzes the importance, content and effective methods of teaching mathematical text problems in primary education. Text problems develop not only computational skills in students, but also analytical thinking, the ability to explain what they understand, and the ability to solve real-life situations. The article highlights the methodology for teaching text problems step by step, approaches based on didactic principles and the importance of selecting tasks taking into account the age characteristics of student. It also provides practical recommendations for arousing students’ interest and thinking through interactive methods, visual aids and interesting problems during the lesson. The article is a useful methodological guide for primary school teachers and serves to improve the quality of education.
