RUBOB INSTRUMENT: ITS ROLE AS A TRADITIONAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

This article discusses the origin, structure, performance traditions, and current significance of the rubob, one of the traditional stringed instruments of the Uzbek people. The history of the rubob's formation, its regional variations, and its place among the younger generation are analyzed based on scientific sources, stage performances, and practical observations. The article is written from an ethnomusicological perspective and provides scientific conclusions about the role of the rubob in the national music heritage.
