This article examines methodological recommendations for reading lessons during the preparatory stage of literacy education. It emphasizes the formation of phonetic, morphological, and syntactic knowledge, development of reading skills, and preparation for written activities among primary school students. The article highlights the importance of considering students’ age characteristics, attention span, and memory, as well as the use of interactive and visual teaching methods. The recommendations aim to increase students’ interest in reading and develop skills for independent and consistent learning.Downloads
