Abstract

The article examines the theoretical and practical foundations of problem-based learning and its importance as a technology of developmental education. The main principles, methods, and forms of problem-based learning are highlighted, along with its role in developing students’ independent thinking, research and analytical skills, and creativity. The experience of applying problem-based learning in the education system of Uzbekistan is analyzed and compared with advanced international practices. The paper also discusses the conditions for effective implementation of problem-based learning and the challenges that may arise.
