Abstract

The widespread adoption of digital technologies has transformed educational systems and instructional practices. As a result, online assessment has become an integral component of modern English language teaching. This article explores the significance of online assessment, highlighting its major benefits, challenges, and practical applications in language education. Particular attention is given to the ways digital assessment tools support learner engagement, facilitate feedback, and improve educational outcomes. The study concludes that online assessment, when implemented effectively, can contribute substantially to the quality of language instruction..
