In recent decades, the incidence of thyroid cancer has increased globally, largely due to improved detection methods and widespread imaging use. According to 2024 global data, thyroid cancer constitutes a notable proportion of endocrine malignancies and occurs more frequently in women than in men, making gender an important factor in diagnosis and management.
