THE ROLE OF ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIES IN REDUCING DIAGNOSTIC ERRORS

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the role of ultrasound technologies in reducing diagnostic errors. The study examines the significance of ultrasound diagnostics in modern medicine, particularly its role in clinical decision-making, real-time visualization capabilities, and application across various medical fields. Furthermore, the importance of ultrasound technologies in improving diagnostic accuracy in cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology, abdominal diagnostics, and emergency medicine is discussed. The article also evaluates the contribution of Doppler ultrasound, 3D/4D imaging, elastography, Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS), and artificial intelligence-based ultrasound systems to minimizing diagnostic inaccuracies. The findings confirm that ultrasound technologies represent a safe, rapid, and highly effective diagnostic tool in contemporary clinical practice.
