EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND MODERN TREATMENT APPROACHES TO BRONCHIAL ASTHMA IN CHILDREN
Vol. 6 No. 9 (2026) 18-22
Abstract
Bronchial asthma is one of the most common chronic respiratory diseases among children. Its main clinical manifestations include dyspnea, wheezing, chest tightness, and cough, which vary over time. Delayed diagnosis of the disease may lead to persistent symptoms, increased frequency of exacerbations and emergency medical visits, limitations in physical activity, and reduced quality of life [1,2]. According to the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019, the number of people living with asthma worldwide was estimated at 262.41 million in 2019 [3]. Diagnosis in children, particularly in preschool-aged children, can be challenging because clinical manifestations may overlap with those of other respiratory diseases.
