Endoscopic spine surgery has become a practical, minimally invasive method of decompression in patients with intervertebral disc herniation or stenosis. The purpose of this review is to summarize current endoscopic decompression techniques in spine surgery and discuss the advantages, limitations, and prospects of this minimally invasive approach.
