MODERN INFORMATION SPACE (internet) AND ITS IMPACT ON CHILDREN’S SOCIALIZATION

Abstract

The article explores the problem of the modern information space (the Internet) and its impact on the socialization of children. In particular, the phenomenon of cyber-socialization (digital socialization) is analyzed. From a socio-pedagogical perspective, the main risks of the virtual space are revealed: dissonance of values, cyberbullying and virtual aggression, and addiction. It is emphasized that under these conditions, one of the crucial tasks of a social educator is to form a culture of Internet use among the younger generation, warn about negative consequences in the virtual space, and teach practical ways to protect them from the influence of malicious ideas and manipulations in social networks that are alien to national values.
