This work examines the diagnostic value of neurosonography (NSG) as a primary screening tool for detecting brain lesions caused by intrauterine infections (IUI) in neonates. The study highlights specific sonographic markers, such as periventricular leukomalacia, ventriculomegaly, and calcifications, which assist in the early identification of inflammatory processes. The findings emphasize that while NSG is non-invasive and accessible, its integration with clinical and laboratory data is essential for accurate diagnosis and timely neurological intervention.##submission.downloads##
