Mazkur maqolada sikoriy o‘simligi — Cichorium intybus L. ning gepatoprotektorlik xususiyatlari, kimyoviy tarkibi, biologik faol moddalari hamda jigar faoliyatiga ta’siri tahlil qilinadi. Sikoriy qadimdan xalq tabobatida jigar, ovqat hazm qilish tizimi va modda almashinuvi bilan bog‘liq holatlarda qo‘llanib kelinadi. Uning tarkibida inulin, flavonoidlar, fenol birikmalari, organik kislotalar, seskviterpen laktonlar, vitaminlar va antioksidant moddalar mavjud bo‘lib, ular jigar hujayralarini oksidlovchi stress, toksik shikastlanish va yallig‘lanish jarayonlaridan himoya qilishda muhim ahamiyatga ega. Maqolada sikoriyning jigarni himoya qilish mexanizmlari, detoksikatsiya jarayonlariga ta’siri, gepatotsitlar regeneratsiyasini qo‘llab-quvvatlashi hamda farmatsevtik va xalq tabobatidagi qo‘llanilish imkoniyatlari yoritilgan.
