Abstrak

This research examines the effects of excessive meat consumption on both human health and the environment. While meat provides essential nutrients such as protein, iron, and vitamin B12, consuming it in large quantities has been linked to several health problems, including cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer. The study also explores the environmental consequences of meat production, particularly greenhouse gas emissions, high water consumption, and extensive land use associated with livestock farming. Using a comparative approach, the research analyzes government policies in Denmark and Brazil to evaluate the role of state intervention in addressing these challenges. The findings suggest that policy measures such as dietary guidelines and environmental regulations can contribute to reducing the negative impacts of meat consumption. The study concludes that balancing nutritional needs, environmental sustainability, and economic interests requires effective government action and increased public awareness.
