Abstract

In modern foreign language education, the main aim is to prepare learners for real communication. German lessons should not be limited to memorizing grammar rules or translating artificial sentences. They should help students understand natural speech, use vocabulary appropriately, and express ideas in culturally relevant situations. In this process, authentic materials are an effective methodological tool. These materials include texts, audio recordings, videos, advertisements, menus, websites, interviews, songs, announcements, and letters created for native speakers rather than specially written for textbooks.
