The article analyses the distinctive characteristics of complex sentences across four functional styles of Uzbek written discourse — academic, official-documentary, journalistic, and literary. For each register, the syntactic profile, frequency of use, and grammatical-stylistic functions of complex sentences are established. The findings demonstrate that the functional environment is the primary factor determining the type, length, and emotional colouring of a complex sentence.References
