Abstract

This paper examines dehydration as one of the most common pathological conditions that negatively affects human health. An analysis of the main causes of dehydration, its clinical manifestations, and its effects on various organs and body systems was carried out. Special attention is paid to risk factors in children, elderly people, and individuals with chronic diseases. It was found that fluid deficiency leads to disturbances in water-electrolyte balance, deterioration of the cardiovascular, nervous, and urinary systems, as well as decreased physical and mental performance. The paper discusses modern methods of dehydration prevention, including maintaining proper drinking habits, timely fluid replacement, and preservation of water-salt balance. The obtained results confirm the importance of early diagnosis and prevention of dehydration for maintaining health and preventing complications.
