EXPLORING THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF PERSIMMONS: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW

Abstract
Persimmons, often referred to as the "divine fruit," have been consumed for centuries, prized for their unique flavor and plethora of health benefits. This article provides a comprehensive review of the nutritional composition and potential health-promoting properties of persimmons. Through an extensive analysis of current research, this paper aims to elucidate the various ways in which persimmons contribute to human health, including their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal effects. Additionally, the potential mechanisms underlying these health benefits are explored, shedding light on the phytochemicals and bioactive compounds present in persimmons. Overall, this review highlights the importance of incorporating persimmons into a balanced diet to optimize health and well-being.
