Migration has become one of the most significant global phenomena of the twenty-first century, affecting economic development, social stability, national security, and human rights protection. The increasing scale of international migration has created complex legal and institutional challenges that cannot be effectively addressed by individual states alone. In this context, international organizations play a crucial role in developing legal frameworks, coordinating migration policies, protecting migrants’ rights, and promoting international cooperation. This article examines the legal foundations of global migration governance and analyzes the role of major international organizations, including the United Nations (UN), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Labour Organization (ILO), in regulating migration processes.
