Abstract

This scientific article presents a comparative analysis of the theoretical foundations of the work “Mukhtasar al-Maoniy” created by Sa’duddin Taftazoniy with important areas of modern linguistics - pragmatics, stylistics, contextual semantics and speech theory. The main purpose of the study is to determine the compatibility of concepts formed within the framework of classical Eastern rhetoric with modern linguistic theories and to scientifically substantiate the place of Taftazoniy’s views in today’s linguistic thinking.
