Yo‘ldosh homila va ona organizmi o‘rtasidagi gazlar, oziq moddalar va metabolitlar almashinuvini ta’minlaydigan, shu bilan birga endokrin va immunologik vazifalarni bajaradigan murakkab a’zodir. Uning qon tomir havzasidagi buzilishlar homilaga kislorod hamda substratlar yetkazib berilishini cheklaydi, kompensator imkoniyatlar kamayganda esa homila o‘sishining sekinlashuvi, amniotik suyuqlik miqdorining kamayishi, fetal gipoksiya va muddatidan oldingi tug‘ruq bilan namoyon bo‘ladi. Shu sababli muddatidan oldingi tug‘ruq xavfi bo‘lgan ayolda bachadon qisqarishlarini baholashning o‘zi yetarli emas: yo‘ldoshning tuzilishi, uteroplatsentar va fetoplatsentar qon oqimi ham bir butun tizim sifatida ko‘rilishi lozim [1, 4].
