This article examines the influence of Norman French on the English lexicon after 1066. The Norman Conquest was one of the most important events in the history of the English language, because it brought significant linguistic changes and introduced thousands of French words into English. As a result, English vocabulary became richer and more diverse.Библиографические ссылки
