LEGAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CRIMINAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CRIMINAL PUNISHMENT

This article analyzes the legal differences between the concepts of criminal responsibility and criminal punishment. The legal nature of criminal responsibility, its grounds for application, subjects, and practical significance are examined. Similarly, the distinctions between criminal punishment and responsibility, as well as their interrelations within the framework of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are studied. Special attention is given to the role of criminal responsibility and punishment in the implementation of state policies against crime. The conclusion provides an analysis of the legal relations between these concepts and their social significance.
