DISABILITY INDICATORS AND METHODS OF CALCULATING THEM. THE ROLE OF DISABILITY INDICATORS IN PUBLIC HEALTH ASSESSMENT

Abstrak

The recent decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan called for the development of a number of important processes, including a comprehensive draft law on the rights of persons with disabilities and a state program. Most importantly, the Presidential Decree marked the beginning of a long process by the Republic of Uzbekistan to ratify the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. For this reason, this article discusses in detail the indicators of disability and statistics related to people with disabilities, as well as the importance of these statistics in assessing the overall health of the population.
