PRACTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF ANTITRUST LEGISLATION FOR BUSINESS ENTITIES

Abstract

This article highlights the practical significance of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Competition,” adopted in 2023, for business entities. The research analyzes modern issues such as the concept of dominant position, forms of unfair competition, and barriers to market entry. A particular focus is given to the introduction of the antitrust compliance system as a mandatory legal institution under the new law. This system ensures legal security and stability for large business entities and state-owned enterprises. As a result, mechanisms for compliance with legislation and support of economic reforms are reinforced.
