LINGUOCULTURAL FEATURES OF THE CONCEPT OF “WOMAN”: BASED ON ENGLISH AND KARAKALPAK PHRASEOLOGY

Abstract

This article comparatively analyzes the linguocultural features of the concept of “woman” in English and Karakalpak phraseology. The study examines how phraseological units related to women reflect national mentality, traditions, aesthetic views, moral values, and gender stereotypes. In Karakalpak phraseological units, the image of a woman is mainly associated with modesty, family values, morality, and national traditions, whereas English phraseology emphasizes individuality, independence, and personal character traits. Furthermore, the article highlights the importance of phraseological units as significant linguocultural elements reflecting the culture and worldview of a nation.
