Abstract

This article explores the role of humor and satire in children's literature, focusing on how these elements engage young readers, increase understanding, and develop critical thinking skills. Humor and satire not only make stories fun, but also allow authors to introduce complex topics in a child-friendly way, encouraging children to think about social norms, relationships, and human behavior. Research has highlighted the effectiveness of humor in language development, emotional intelligence, and moral reasoning, and that these literary techniques serve as powerful tools for both entertainment and education.
