Language, culture, and identity are deeply interconnected aspects of human experience, shaping and reflecting the ways individuals and societies perceive themselves and others. Philology, with its interdisciplinary approach to the study of language and texts, provides an effective framework for examining these interrelations across historical and contemporary contexts. This article investigates how language serves as a vessel of cultural memory, a marker of identity, and a dynamic tool that evolves through interaction with social and political changes. By analyzing textual traditions, linguistic variations, and cultural narratives, philology highlights the role of language in both preserving heritage and negotiating modern identities. Special attention is given to how languages embody cultural values, transmit collective memory, and provide a medium for asserting or reshaping identity. The study draws on historical sources, literary texts, and modern discourse to illustrate these dynamics. Through a combination of qualitative analysis and comparative philological methods, the research underscores the enduring relevance of philology in understanding the symbiotic relationship between language, culture, and identity. The findings demonstrate that philology not only documents linguistic history but also provides critical insights into cultural transformations and identity formation in the globalized world.
