Hozirgi globallashuv sharoitida chet tillarini o‘qitish tizimi sifat jihatdan yangi bosqichga ko‘tarilmoqda. Ayniqsa, ingliz tilini o‘qitishda asosiy e’tibor til birliklarini formal o‘zlashtirishdan ko‘ra, ularni real kommunikativ vaziyatlarda samarali qo‘llash kompetensiyasini shakllantirishga qaratilmoqda [Richards, 2006]. Bu esa o‘quv jarayonida interaktiv, muammoli va kommunikativ yondashuvlarning ahamiyatini yanada oshiradi.
