This article discusses irrigation systems, their types, and the main stages of the design process. Efficient use of water resources in agriculture is an important factor in increasing crop productivity and improving the meliorative condition of lands. The article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of surface irrigation, drip irrigation, and sprinkler irrigation systems. In addition, the importance of climatic conditions, soil composition, crop type, water sources, and hydraulic calculations in the design of irrigation systems is considered. It is emphasized that irrigation systems designed on the basis of modern technologies contribute to reducing water consumption, ensuring energy efficiency, and increasing environmental sustainability. The results of the study serve as an important scientific basis for improving irrigation infrastructure and developing practical recommendations for the rational use of resources in agriculture.References
